Disappointed in 2021 for the benefit of Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Jeff Bezos’ company finally won funding from the space agency on Friday May 19 to provide a lander for the American moon landing mission.
Their wish has finally been granted. Blue Origin has just been selected as NASA’s service provider to land a crew of astronauts within a few years, announced Friday May 19 the US space agency. The private company founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos is now officially responsible for providing a spacecraft called “lander”, which will shuttle between the lunar surface and the Orion spacecraft that transported astronauts from Earth. Basically, Blue Origin will be responsible for the “last mile” in the journey to our natural satellite.
It is the fulfillment of a long-standing project for the Bezos firm, which entered the ranks of the lunar conquest even before Donald Trump, then President of the United States, ordered the return of the Americans to the star. NASA has set to handing out funding envelopes to the most promising companies to accompany its new lunar exploration program, “Artemis”, and Blue Origin has been working to prove that it has a good length
