Defender of Paris FC (L2) since this summer, Jordan Lefort (29), who grew up in Val-de-Marne, has distinguished himself for many years by his civic actions. A committed footballer, he is particularly involved with the SPA of Amiens, the fight against the precariousness of students and is very sensitive to environmental issues and food waste.
Jordan Lefort has also decided to get involved in the fight against racism. In partnership with the Licra (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism), it launched two crowdfunding pots to raise funds. This “fraternity raffle” allows you to win two of his jerseys: one from Paris FC and one from his former club, the Young Boys Berne, which is a collector’s item. He wore it on March 19, 2022 against FC Zürich (2-1 defeat) on the 7th day of the Super League, in order to promote a message of peace, tolerance and acceptance of the diversity of different modes of life.
“Instead of keeping this special jersey at home, I wanted to give it to an association,” explains Jordan Lefort. With my entourage, we chose the Licra, which fights against all forms of racism and supports the LGBT struggle. It’s tragic to see that in today’s world, in 2022, people can still be targeted by their skin color. The news of the past few days has unfortunately proven this to us again with the racist messages that Tchouaméni or Coman have received on social networks for having missed their shot on goal. By doing this action, I bring on my small scale my small contribution to the fight against racism. »
Jordan Lefort also believes that there is “a certain coherence” between his various civic commitments. “I’m not doing this to get people talking about me. I just want to convey the message that everyone at their level, whether you are a great player or an L2 player like me, can act. Whether it’s for ecology or racism, everyone on their own scale can make things happen. »
Paris FC will also relay the action of its defender. “We are a club from the Paris region, cosmopolitan and open to all religions,” says Jordan Lefort.
